How to fold an origami file folder
Fold a strip down at the top and the bottom up as the front cover, then fold most of the strip away behind so only a tab sticks up.
You need: 1 A4 or Letter sheet, coloured on one side (manila yellow or any colour). Easy, 4 steps, about 4 minutes.
Steps
- Top strip. White side up, long side upright. Fold a strip at the top edge down. It will become the tab.
- Front cover. Fold the bottom edge up until it almost reaches the top strip. This is the front of the folder.
- Make the tab. Fold the right part of the strip behind on a steep slant, so only a tab sticks up on the left. Fold its top corner behind a little.
- Round the bottom. Fold the two bottom corners behind, just a little.
File it away!
Write a name on the tab and slip your drawings inside the front cover.
