How to fold an origami funnel
A kite with its long point down makes the cone. Fold the short top point behind for a wide rim, then pleat the bottom so a slim spout steps out under the cone.
You need: 1 square sheet, silver or blue on one side and white on the other. Easy, 6 steps, about 4 minutes.
Steps
- Crease the middle. Put the square white side up like a diamond. Fold the left corner to the right corner, crease well, and unfold.
- Make a kite. Fold the two lower edges in so they lie along the centre crease.
- Wide rim. Fold the short top point behind, along the line between the two side corners. The flat top is the rim.
- Point up. Fold the long bottom point up, making the fold a little less than halfway up from the tip.
- Spout down. Fold the point back down a little higher up. A slim spout now steps out under the cone.
- Open the spout. Fold the very tip of the spout behind, so the end is flat.
Pour away!
