How to fold an origami mouse face
Fold the corners of a triangle down and swing them back out as two big ears, snip them round, then fold the cheeks in to a pointy snout. Turn it over and draw the whiskers.
You need: 1 square sheet, grey on one side, and scissors. Easy, 7 steps, about 4 minutes.
Steps
- Make a triangle. Fold the top corner down to meet the bottom corner.
- Corners down. Fold the left and right corners down to meet the bottom point.
- Swing the ears out. Fold each flap back up along a line from its outer corner to the middle crease, a little above the centre, so its point sticks up and out past the head.
- Round the ears. Snip the tip of each ear round with a few short cuts.
- Flat top. Cut the top point of the head off straight across, just above where the two ears cross.
- Narrow the face. Fold each side in along a line from the bottom point to the corner where the ear meets the side of the head. Once you turn it over, the face ends in a narrow snout.
- Turn it over. Flip the mouse over.
Squeak!
Draw two eyes, a nose on the tip and whiskers.
