How to fold an origami bullet train
Fold a long strip's top edge down for the roof and its bottom edge up for the body, leaving a white window band between, then fold the corners behind into a smooth nose.
You need: 1 strip of paper about 20 × 8 cm, blue on one side. Easy, 4 steps, about 4 minutes.
Steps
- The roof. Lay the strip white side up, long side across. Fold the top edge down a little: a blue roof.
- The body. Fold the bottom edge up so it stops just short of the roof. The thin white band between is the row of windows.
- The nose. Fold the top right corner behind on a long slant, down to just below the windows. The nose slopes like a fast train's.
- Smooth corners. Fold the tip of the nose and the other three corners a little way behind, so the train is smooth all round.
All aboard!
Draw little lines to split the windows, a door and a headlight on the nose. Fold a few and line them up into a long train.
