How to fold an origami car wheel
Fold the corners of a black square to the middle, fold their tips back out to open a white hub, then fold the four points behind so the wheel turns round.
You need: 1 square sheet (15 cm), black on one side, and a black pen. Easy, 3 steps, about 3 minutes.
Steps
- Corners to the middle. Lay the square white side up. Fold all four corners in so their points meet in the middle.
- Open the hub. Fold each point back out, about 1.5 cm from the middle. A white square shows in the centre: the hub.
- Round it off. Fold the four outer points behind, about 2 cm each, so the wheel turns round.
Ready to roll!
Draw a dot in the middle of the hub and four little bolts around it. Make four and stick them on a cardboard-box car.
