How to fold an origami crayon

Two strips folded over the white side leave a white wrapper band in the middle. Slim it twice from behind and fold the top corners back into a cone-shaped tip.

You need: 1 square sheet, coloured on one side (any crayon colour). Easy, 4 steps, about 3 minutes.

Steps

  1. Fold two strips. White side up. Fold the top edge down a quarter of the way, and a thin strip at the bottom up. A white band stays in the middle.
  2. Sides behind. Fold the left and right edges behind to meet in the middle.
  3. Slim it again. Fold both sides behind once more. Now it is a long crayon stick.
  4. Shape the tip. Fold the two top corners behind on a slant, so the top narrows into a short blunt point.

Ready to colour!

Draw two lines and a wavy stripe on the white wrapper. Make a whole box in different colours.
