How to fold an origami dart plane

A slim dart from a sheet of printer paper: fold the nose sharp twice, then fold the long wings in to the middle for a narrow arrow that flies fast and straight.

You need: 1 sheet of A4 or Letter paper. Easy, 5 steps, about 3 minutes.

Steps

  1. Crease the centre line. Fold in half lengthwise, crease, then unfold.
  2. Fold the top corners in. Fold both top corners so their top edges lie along the centre crease.
  3. Sharpen the nose. Fold the new slanted edges in to the centre line too, making a sharper point.
  4. Fold the left wing in. Fold the whole left side over on a crease from the nose to just left of the middle of the bottom edge.
  5. Fold the right wing in. Fold the right side over the same way, from the nose to just right of the middle of the bottom.

Ready to zip!

Pinch it underneath along the middle and let the wings spread a little. Throw it hard and level.
