How to fold an origami easy inchworm
A sheet folded in half the long way three times makes a thin strip. Three slanted folds lift the middle into a tall arch. No cuts.
You need: 1 sheet of A4 or Letter paper, green on one side, and a black pen. Easy, 7 steps, about 4 minutes.
Steps
- Fold in half. White side up, tall. Fold the left edge over to the right edge, the long way.
- In half again. Fold it in half the long way again, right edge over to the left edge.
- And once more. Fold it in half the long way one last time and crease it hard. Now it's a long, thin strip.
- Lay it down. Lay the strip level across in front of you.
- Climb up. 6 cm from the left end, fold the rest of the strip up on a steep slant, so it climbs up to the right.
- Over the top. 8 cm further on, fold the rest down over a level crease, so it heads steeply down. That's the arch!
- Back to the ground. Where it reaches the ground, fold the end on a slant so it runs level again to the right.
Inch by inch!
Draw an eye and a smile on the right end, and a few dots along the body.
