How to fold an origami ketchup bottle
Kite folds behind make the top pointy, then a pleat slides the point down so a slim nozzle cap sits on flat shoulders.
You need: 1 square sheet, red on one side. Easy, 5 steps, about 5 minutes.
Steps
- Top edges behind. Put the square coloured side up like a diamond. Fold the two top edges behind so they meet along the middle, like a kite upside down.
- Sides behind. Fold the left and right corners behind along straight up-and-down lines, so the bottle is a bit under half as wide as the paper.
- Top behind. Fold the pointy top behind along a straight line across, just above the middle.
- Nozzle up. Behind, fold it back up a little lower, so a slim pointy nozzle sticks up over flat shoulders.
- Flat bottom. Fold the bottom corner behind along a straight line across, so the bottle stands flat.
Pass the ketchup!
Draw a white label on the front and write KETCHUP on it. Serve it with paper fries and a burger.
