How to fold an origami necktie
A long kite becomes the blade. The top folds down and back up into a knot, and the corners tuck behind.
You need: 1 square sheet, any size. Medium, 6 steps, about 4 minutes.
Steps
- Crease the diagonal. Fold the left corner to the right corner, crease, and unfold.
- Make a kite. Fold the two lower edges in to lie along the centre crease.
- Turn it over. Flip the kite over.
- Top point down. Fold the top point down along the widest part of the kite.
- Fold the knot. Fold the point back up so its tip touches the top edge.
- Shape the knot. Fold the two top corners behind, narrowing the top of the tie.
Dapper!
Glue it on a card, or make a matching one for every shirt.
