How to fold an origami little bauble
Fold the corners of a diamond behind to make an octagon. The top corner folds back up so its tip peeks out as the cap.
You need: 1 square sheet, red, blue or gold on one side. Easy, 4 steps, about 3 minutes.
Steps
- Top behind. Put the square coloured side up like a diamond. Fold the top corner behind, about a seventh of the way down.
- Cap up. Behind, fold that corner back up a little lower, so its tip peeks over the top. That's the cap.
- Square the cap. Fold the very tip of the cap behind so it is flat on top.
- Round it. Fold the left, right and bottom corners behind by the same amount, so the bauble is an even octagon.
Hang it up!
Draw a shine and a zigzag band in white pen. Thread a loop through the cap and hang it on the tree.
