How to fold an origami easy santa hat
A kite fold makes a tall red cone over a white point. Fold the point into a fluffy cuff, then let the tip flop over for its pom-pom.
You need: 1 square sheet, red on one side and white on the other. Easy, 4 steps, about 4 minutes.
Steps
- Fold a kite. Put the square white side up like a diamond. Fold the two upper edges in so they meet along the middle.
- Fluffy cuff. Fold the bottom of the white point behind, so a white strip is left under the red cone. That's the cuff.
- Straight sides. Fold the two side corners behind on straight up-and-down lines, so the cuff gets square ends.
- Flop the tip. Fold the top of the cone down to the right on a slant, so the tip hangs over the side.
Ho ho ho!
Draw a fluffy white pom-pom on the tip. Make a tiny one for every elf.
