How to fold an origami otter face
A brown triangle with tiny ears peeking up behind, a white muzzle folded up from the front point and a brown nose on top. Draw the whiskers.
You need: 1 square sheet, 15 × 15 cm, brown on one side, and a black marker. Easy, 7 steps, about 5 minutes.
Steps
- Make a triangle. Fold the top corner down to meet the bottom corner.
- Tiny ears. Fold the left and right corners behind, on steep lines 2 cm in from each end, so just the tips peek over the top.
- Ear nubs. Fold the tip of each ear behind, halfway down, so only little round nubs peek up.
- White muzzle. Fold only the front layer's bottom point up, about 4 cm above the bottom.
- Flat chin. Fold the back layer's point up behind, along the same line.
- Brown nose. Fold the tip of the white flap back down, about 1 cm, to make a big brown nose.
- Round the head. Fold the four lower corners of the face behind, about 1 cm along each edge, so the head is round.
Splash, otter!
Colour the nose black, draw two shiny eyes, a little mouth under the nose and long whiskers out to both sides.
