How to fold an origami penguin face
A black square folds up into a white chest patch, its tip folds back down as a small black beak, and the corners fold behind to round the hood.
You need: 1 square sheet, 15 × 15 cm, black on one side, and a black marker. Easy, 4 steps, about 3 minutes.
Steps
- White face. Turn the square like a diamond, black side up. Fold the bottom corner up, past the middle, so a big white triangle shows.
- Beak. Fold just the tip of the white triangle back down, about 2 cm, so its black side makes a small beak.
- Round the hood. Fold the top, left and right corners behind, about 3 cm.
- Round the chin. Fold the two bottom corners behind, about 2.5 cm along each edge.
Waddle on!
Draw a white ring with a black dot for each eye on the black hood. Colour the beak orange if you have a pen.
