How to fold an origami slim rocket
A kite folded extra slim makes the body and nose. The flaps hidden at the back swing out as fins, and the bottom point folds up into a short nozzle.
You need: 1 square sheet, red or blue on one side and white on the other, and a white pen. Easy, 6 steps, about 5 minutes.
Steps
- Crease the middle. Put the square white side up like a diamond. Fold the left corner to the right corner, crease well, and unfold.
- Make a kite. Fold the two upper edges in so they lie along the centre crease.
- Turn it over. Flip the kite over from side to side. The long point stays at the top.
- Slim it down. Fold the two long edges behind so they meet at the back. The kite gets slim, with a short wide point at the bottom.
- Swing out the fins. At the back, fold the bottom corner of each flap out and up, from the side corner, so its tip sticks out past the edge as a fin.
- Make the nozzle. Fold the bottom point up behind, leaving a short stub between the fins.

Draw a round white window near the top. Zoom it across the table, or stick it on a starry night card.
