How to fold an origami treasure chest
Fold the top and bottom edges of a sheet in, leaving a white band between them like the chest's metal rim, then fold the lid's corners behind into a round dome.
You need: 1 A4 or Letter sheet, brown on one side. Easy, 4 steps, about 4 minutes.
Steps
- The lid. Put the sheet white side up, standing tall. Fold the top edge down about a fifth of the way. That brown band is the lid.
- The box. Fold the bottom edge up so it stops just short of the lid. A thin white band stays between them: the chest's shiny rim.
- Dome the lid. Fold the two top corners behind on slants, so the lid gets a sloping top.
- Round the dome. Fold the four new corners of the lid a little way behind, so the dome is nice and round.

Draw a keyhole on the white rim and two straps. Hide a chocolate coin behind it for a treasure hunt.
