How to fold an origami whale
A kite folded in half and laid on its side. One more fold lifts the tail.
You need: 1 square sheet, 15 × 15 cm. Easy, 6 steps, about 3 minutes.
Steps
- Crease the diagonal. Fold the left corner to the right corner, crease, and unfold.
- Make a kite. Fold the two lower edges in to lie along the centre crease.
- Top point down. Fold the top point down to where the flaps meet.
- Fold in half. Fold the left half behind the right half.
- Lay it down. Turn the whale so the fold is at the bottom.
- Lift the tail. Fold the thin point up to make the tail.
