How to fold an origami apron
Two little corners fold out, and folding the bottom up flips them to the waist as hanging ties. The layers behind fold in on a slant to make a narrow bib.
You need: 1 square sheet, any size. Easy, 4 steps, about 5 minutes.
Steps
- Sides to the middle. Start white side up. Fold the left and right edges in to meet in the middle.
- Fold out the ties. At the bottom, fold each flap's inner corner out, creasing from the bottom outer corner up to the middle. The tips will be the ties.
- Bottom up. Fold the bottom up, a quarter of the way below the middle. The ties flip up to the waist and hang down, and the front turns coloured.
- Shape the bib. Keep the front skirt flat and fold the layers behind it on a long slant, from a quarter in along the top to the bottom corner. The bib is narrow.
Let's bake!
Draw a waistband between the ties, a big pocket on the front and a little heart on the bib.
