How to fold an origami kimono
The sides fold behind, then each side flap folds back out on its diagonal as a wide hanging sleeve. Draw the crossed white collar and the obi sash around the middle.
You need: 1 square sheet, any size, and a white pen. Easy, 3 steps, about 5 minutes.
Steps
- Sides behind. Start coloured side up. Fold the left and right sides behind, so they meet in the middle at the back.
- Fold out the sleeves. Reach behind and fold each side flap back out on a slant, from the top corner to the bottom of the flap's edge. Wide sleeves hang down.
- Square the sleeves. Fold the pointed tip of each sleeve behind, straight up and down, so the sleeve ends are square.
Beautiful!
