How to fold an origami hockey stick

Fold a long strip in half the long way, bend its end out on a slant for the blade, lay it down and round off the toe.

You need: 1 strip of paper about 5 × 26 cm, brown on one side, and a black pen. Easy, 4 steps, about 3 minutes.

Steps

  1. Fold in half. Lay the strip white side up, standing tall. Fold the left edge over onto the right edge. Now it is brown on both sides.
  2. Bend the blade. Fold the bottom end out to the right on a long slant, starting a third of the way up the left edge. The end now points down and out: the blade.
  3. Lay it down. Turn the stick so the blade lies flat along the bottom and the handle leans up to the left.
  4. Round the toe. Fold the two corners at the end of the blade behind, a little, so the toe is rounded.

Shoot!

Colour a band of black tape round the blade and the top of the handle. Flick a paper ball across the table and score!
