How to fold an origami cherries

Fold the corners of two little red squares behind to make round cherries, and fold a green square into a pointy leaf. Glue them onto a card and draw the stems joining them.

You need: 2 small red squares, 1 green square a little bigger, a card, a glue stick and a brown pen. Easy, 8 steps, about 4 minutes.

Steps

  1. First cherry. Take a red square, red side up. Fold all four corners a little behind to make it round.
  2. Second cherry: new sheet. Set the first cherry aside and take the other red square, red side up.
  3. Second cherry. Fold all four corners a little behind, just like the first one.
  4. Leaf: new sheet. Set the cherry aside. Take the green square, white side up, with a corner pointing up and to the right.
  5. Leaf: crease it. Fold it in half, bringing the other two corners together, then open it again.
  6. Leaf: lower edges in. Fold the two edges by the bottom left corner in to lie along the crease.
  7. Leaf: upper edges in. Now fold the two edges by the top right corner in to the crease too. Now it's a slim, pointy leaf.
  8. Glue them on a card. Glue the leaf near the top of a card, then the two cherries below it, one a little lower than the other.

Cherry pick!

Draw two stems from the tops of the cherries up to the bottom tip of the leaf, and a white shine on each cherry.
