How to fold an origami easter egg
Fold the sides and corners of a square behind until it turns into a smooth egg, wider at the bottom. Then paint it with pens: zigzags, stripes and dots.
You need: 1 square sheet (15 cm), lilac or pastel on one side, a black pen and a white gel pen. Easy, 4 steps, about 5 minutes.
Steps
- Fold the sides behind. Coloured side up. Fold the left and right edges behind, about 2 cm each, so the paper is tall and narrow.
- Fold the top corners behind. Fold both top corners behind with big slanted folds, so the top of the egg is narrow.
- Fold the bottom corners behind. Fold both bottom corners behind too, but smaller, so the bottom stays wide and round.
- Round it off. Fold the eight little corners behind, just a tip each, to make the egg smooth and round.
A painted egg!
Draw stripes and a zigzag band across the egg, then dot white and black spots between them. Hide it for an egg hunt!
