How to fold an origami easy eggplant
Fold the top edges behind into a long kite, fold the point down for the cap and back up for the stem, then slim the sides and round the bottom.
You need: 1 square sheet, purple on one side and white on the other. Easy, 6 steps, about 4 minutes.
Steps
- Long kite. Purple side up, a corner at the top. Fold the two upper edges behind to meet on the middle line.
- Cap. Fold the top point down in front, about 3 cm. That's the eggplant's cap.
- Stem. Fold the tip of the cap back up, so it pokes out over the top: the stem.
- Slim the sides. Fold the two side corners behind, straight down, so the eggplant is long and slim.
- Round the bottom. Fold the bottom point behind, and the two corners above it a little, so the bottom is plump and round.
- Tilt it. Turn it a little, so the eggplant leans like it's lying in a basket.
