How to fold an origami hockey stick
Fold a long thin stick, then fold its end up and back down on a slant so the blade bends away. Add black tape and a puck.
You need: 1 square sheet, brown or wood-coloured on one side, 1 small black square, a black pen, a white pen and a glue stick. Medium, 10 steps, about 10 minutes.
Steps
- Stick: sides to the middle. Start white side up. Fold the left and right edges to the middle.
- Stick: in half. Fold the left edge over to the right edge.
- Stick: in half again. Fold the left edge over to the right edge again.
- Stick: and again. Fold it in half one more time. Now it's a long thin stick.
- Fold the end up. Fold the bottom end up over the stick, about a quarter of the way.
- Bend the blade. Fold the end back down on a slant, just above the last fold, so it sticks out to the right. That's the blade.
- Puck: new sheet. Set the stick aside. Take the small black square.
- Puck: in half. Fold the top half behind.
- Puck: round the corners. Fold the four corners behind a little, so it's a flat round puck seen from the side.
- Put it together. Lay the stick on a slant so the blade is flat on the ice, and set the puck just in front of the blade.
He shoots, he scores!
Colour the blade black for tape and wrap tape round the top of the stick.
