How to fold an origami chocolate ice cream
A kite with its long point down makes the cone. Round the top into a scoop, then pleat the cone so it tucks up under the scoop and the scoop's rim sticks out.
You need: 1 square sheet, brown on one side and white on the other, and a white pen. Easy, 7 steps, about 5 minutes.
Steps
- Crease the middle. Put the square white side up like a diamond. Fold the left corner to the right corner, crease well, and unfold.
- Make a kite. Fold the two lower edges in so they lie along the centre crease.
- Turn it over. Flip the kite over from side to side. The long point stays at the bottom.
- Flatten the top. Fold the short top point behind, about a quarter of the way down to the side corners.
- Round the scoop. Fold the two side corners behind a little, and the scoop gets round.
- Cone up. Fold the long bottom point up behind, making the fold just under the scoop's round sides. The point sticks up past the top.
- Cone back down. At the back, fold the point down again a little higher up. The cone now tucks up behind the scoop, and the scoop's rim sticks out.
Yum!
Draw white sprinkles on the scoop. Make a row of flavours in different colours for an ice cream shop.
