How to fold an origami lamb
A big round pale body covered in drawn-on curls, a small dark triangle face with droopy ears and a woolly topknot, and a dark strip bent into two short splayed legs.
You need: A pale square for the body, a small dark square for the head, a dark strip for the legs, and glue. Easy, 11 steps, about 9 minutes.
Steps
- Body: corners to the middle. Start with the body. Fold all four corners in to meet in the middle.
- Body: turn it over. Flip it over so the smooth coloured side faces you.
- Body: round it off. Fold all four points behind, so the woolly body is round.
- Head: small dark square. Set the body aside. Take the small dark square, white side up, turned like a diamond.
- Head: make a triangle. Fold the top corner down to meet the bottom corner.
- Head: droopy ears. Fold the left and right corners down at a slant so they stick out and droop like little lamb ears.
- Head: blunt chin. Fold the bottom tip behind a little. The head is done.
- Legs: dark strip. Set the head aside. Take the dark strip, white side up.
- Legs: fold it in half. Fold the strip in half the long way, top edge down to the bottom edge, so it is thin and coloured on both sides.
- Legs: bend the legs down. Fold each end down on a slant, a little way from the middle, so two short legs hang down and spread apart.
- Glue it together. Glue the body over the top of the legs and the head on top of the body.
Baa!
Draw woolly curls all over the body, a white woolly topknot, two bright eyes and white nostrils.
