How to fold an origami bright idea bulb
One yellow square: fold the bottom up to show white for the base and pleat it for the screw thread, taper the neck with two slanted folds and round the glass with corner folds.
You need: 1 yellow square (15 cm) and a black pen. Medium, 6 steps, about 8 minutes.
Steps
- White base. Yellow side up, fold the bottom edge up about 3.5 cm so a white band shows: the screw base.
- Thread: fold up. Fold the bottom edge up again on a line about 1 cm higher.
- Thread: fold down. Fold it back down on a line just above, leaving a little step across the base: the screw thread.
- Taper the neck. Fold the two lower corners behind on slants from the sides of the paper down to the bottom, so the base is narrow.
- Round the glass. Fold the two top corners behind, about 4 cm along each edge.
- Round it more. Fold the new corners and the corners at the neck behind, a little each, so the glass is nice and round.

Draw a shine on the glass and a little zigzag filament inside.
