How to fold an origami macaron
The top and bottom edges fold in to make two shells with a white stripe of cream between them. Fold the corners behind to round the shells.
You need: 1 square sheet, pastel pink on one side. Easy, 5 steps, about 4 minutes.
Steps
- Top shell. White side up. Fold the top edge down so it stops a little above the middle.
- Bottom shell. Fold the bottom edge up so it stops a little below the middle. The white stripe left between them is the cream.
- Sides behind. Fold a strip off the left and right sides behind.
- Round the shells. Fold the four outer corners of the shells behind. The cream stays a little wider than the shells.
- Make them domes. Fold the new corners behind, just a little, so each shell looks like a smooth dome.
