How to fold an origami milk carton

Fold the long sides to the middle, fold the top corners behind into a peaked roof, and pleat the top into the sealed fin of a real carton.

You need: 1 sheet of A4 or Letter paper, blue on one side and white on the other, and a dark pen. Easy, 5 steps, about 4 minutes.

Steps

  1. Sides in. White side up, long edges at the sides. Fold both long edges in to meet in the middle.
  2. The roof. Fold the two top corners behind on a slant, leaving a narrow flat top. That's the peaked roof.
  3. Fin: down. Fold the tip of the roof down over the front.
  4. Fin: up. Fold it back up a little lower, so it stands up on top of the roof like the sealed fin of a carton.
  5. Bottom. Fold the bottom edge behind, so the carton is about twice as tall as it is wide.

Got milk!

Draw a label on the front: a big milk drop and a line under it. Fold a few in different colours for chocolate and strawberry milk.
