How to fold an origami microphone
Round off a small grey square for the head, fold a black square into a slim cone for the handle, glue them together and draw the mesh.
You need: A 7.5 cm grey square, a 12 cm black square and a glue stick. Easy, 6 steps, about 6 minutes.
Steps
- Head: round it. Start with the head, grey side up. Fold all four corners behind to make it round.
- Handle: new sheet. Set the head aside. Take the black square, black side up, like a diamond.
- Handle: a cone. Fold the two lower edges behind so they meet along the middle: a long point at the bottom.
- Handle: slimmer. Fold the long edges behind again so they meet along the middle. The handle gets slim.
- Handle: blunt end. Fold the sharp tip at the bottom behind, so the handle ends flat.
- Glue on the head. Glue the round head over the wide top of the handle.
Testing, one, two!
Draw criss-cross lines on the head for the mesh. Hold it up and sing your favourite song.
