How to fold an origami toy blocks
Fold a coloured rim in from all four edges of three small squares, so each one is a block with a white face. Stack them up and draw on the letters A, B and C.
You need: Three 9 cm squares, red, blue and green on one side, a glue stick and a black pen. Easy, 9 steps, about 6 minutes.
Steps
- Block A: sides. Start with the red square, white side up. Fold the left and right edges in by a thin strip, about 1 cm.
- Block A: top and bottom. Fold the top and bottom edges in by the same strip. Now it's a block with a red rim and a white face.
- Block B: new sheet. Set block A aside. Take the blue square, white side up.
- Block B: sides. Fold the left and right edges in by the same thin strip.
- Block B: top and bottom. Fold the top and bottom edges in too.
- Block C: new sheet. Set block B aside. Take the green square, white side up.
- Block C: sides. Fold the left and right edges in by the same thin strip.
- Block C: top and bottom. Fold the top and bottom edges in too.
- Stack them up. Glue the red and blue blocks side by side, then stand the green block on top, in the middle of them.
