How to fold an origami fortune cookie
Fold the bottom corners behind to make a white tab, then fold the top down over it as the golden cookie. Round the cookie and the fortune still peeks out below.
You need: 1 square sheet, golden yellow on one side and white on the other, and a dark pen. Easy, 4 steps, about 4 minutes.
Steps
- A tab. White side up. Fold the two bottom corners behind on a slant, so the bottom narrows to a short tab.
- The cookie. Fold the top edge down, but not all the way: the white tab should still poke out at the bottom. That's the fortune.
- Round it. Fold the two top corners of the cookie behind on a slant.
- Rounder. Fold the four new little corners behind too, so the cookie is a smooth golden half-moon.
What does it say?
Draw the curved crease up the middle of the cookie, and tiny lines on the slip. Write a real fortune on it!
