How to fold an origami moon
Fold the square in half and cut half a crescent through both layers: a straight snip for the inside, short snips round the outside. Open it up and the moon is perfectly even.
You need: 1 square sheet, yellow on one side, and scissors. Easy, 4 steps, about 4 minutes.
Steps
- Fold in half. Fold the top edge down to the bottom edge.
- Cut the inside edge. Cut a straight line through both layers, from a quarter of the way in along the fold to the middle of the bottom edge.
- Round the outside. Cut the left side round with short straight snips, from the fold round to your first cut, meeting it a finger-width above the bottom.
- Open it up. Unfold the top layer back up. Your crescent moon is the same on both sides.
Good night, moon!
Draw a sleepy closed eye and a little smile on the moon's back.
