How to fold an origami bird's nest

Fold the bottom corners up on long slants, fold the bottom up behind so its white tip peeks over the top as an egg, then round the egg and the nest.

You need: 1 square sheet, brown on one side. Easy, 4 steps, about 4 minutes.

Steps

  1. Shape the egg. Put the square brown side up. Fold the two bottom corners up on long slants, from a third of the way down each side to a little either side of the bottom middle.
  2. Egg up behind. Fold the bottom part up behind, on a line straight across from where the slants start. Its white tip peeks over the top edge: an egg in a nest!
  3. Round the egg. Fold the egg's two top corners a little way behind, so it is nice and round.
  4. Round the nest. Fold the nest's two bottom corners behind, so it is a round bowl.
