How to fold an origami pinwheel

Crease both diagonals, snip in from each corner, then bring every other point to the middle. Pin it to a stick and blow.

You need: 1 square sheet, 15 × 15 cm or larger, plus a pin and a stick. Medium, 6 steps, about 6 minutes.

Steps

  1. Fold corner to corner. Fold the top right corner down onto the bottom left corner.
  2. Open it. Unfold it again. The crease marks where you will cut.
  3. Fold the other way. Fold the bottom right corner up onto the top left corner.
  4. Open it again. Unfold. The two creases cross in the middle.
  5. Snip the corners. Cut along each crease from the corner towards the middle, stopping a finger-width short of the centre.
  6. Points to the middle. Bring every other point in to the centre, all turning the same way round, and hold them there.

Blow!

Push a pin through the four points and the middle into a stick. Blow on it or run with it.
