How to fold an origami little potted plant
Folding the top corner in first leaves the bottom of the model white, so it turns into a pot. Two flaps swing up and out as the leaves.
You need: 1 square sheet, green on one side and white on the other. Easy, 5 steps, about 4 minutes.
Steps
- Top corner in. White side up, like a diamond. Fold the top corner down to the middle of the square.
- Make a triangle. Fold the top part down along the line between the side corners. A triangle, point down.
- Corners down. Fold the left and right corners down to the bottom point. A small diamond.
- Leaves up. Fold each flap's bottom point up and out, creasing from the flap's outer corner to the middle line. The white pot appears.
- Flat pot. Fold the bottom point of the pot behind so it stands flat.
No watering needed!
Draw a vein on each leaf and a rim line on the pot. Make a row of them for a paper windowsill.
