How to fold an origami little broom
Fold the side corners of a diamond behind and back out again, then fold the bottom half away so the points become a wide brush under a straight handle.
You need: 1 square sheet, yellow, orange or brown on one side. Easy, 8 steps, about 5 minutes.
Steps
- Right corner behind. Put the square coloured side up like a diamond. Fold the right corner behind along an up-and-down line, just right of the middle.
- And back out. Behind, fold that flap back out along a line just left of the middle, so its point sticks out on the right again.
- Left corner behind. Fold the left corner behind the same way, just left of the middle, so the handle is even.
- And back out. Behind, fold it back out along a line just right of the middle, so a matching point sticks out on the left.
- Bottom half behind. Fold the bottom half up behind along the middle line across. The two points now make a wide brush with a flat bottom.
- Straight sides. Fold the tips of the brush behind along up-and-down lines, so its sides stand straight.
- Flat handle top. Fold the top point behind along a straight line across, so the handle ends flat.
- Lean it. Turn the broom so it leans a little to the side.
Sweep, sweep!
Draw a band where the brush is tied on and straw lines down the brush. Lean it by a paper door or give it to a paper witch.
