How to fold an origami sandwich
Fold the top and bottom edges of a square in as two slices of bread, leaving a white band of filling between them, then soften every corner.
You need: 1 square sheet, golden brown on one side. Easy, 4 steps, about 3 minutes.
Steps
- Top slice. Put the square white side up. Fold the top edge down about a fifth of the way. That golden band is the top slice.
- Bottom slice. Fold the bottom edge up the same amount. The white band left between the slices is the filling.
- Soft bread. Fold all four corners a little way behind, so the bread looks soft and squishy.
- Puffy top. Fold the two new corners at each end of the top slice a little way behind too, so the top puffs up.
Lunch time!
Draw a wiggly line of lettuce along the filling. Fold a stack for a picnic or a play café.
