How to fold an origami shark
A triangle with its top folded down and back up on a slant, so the point pops out as a fin. Flip up the tail, fold the nose behind and draw a toothy grin.
You need: 1 square sheet, 15 × 15 cm. Easy, 5 steps, about 5 minutes.
Steps
- Make a triangle. Fold the bottom corner up to the top corner.
- Top point down. Fold the top point down to the middle of the bottom edge, through both layers.
- Pop up the fin. Fold the point back up on a slant, from the left end of the top edge to just below the right end. It sticks up as the fin.
- Flip up the tail. Fold the right point up on a slant, on a crease that starts on the bottom edge about 8 cm from the point, so the tail points up and back.
- Shape the nose. Fold the tip of the left point behind, so the nose is blunt and the mouth slopes in under it.
Chomp!
Draw an eye, three gill slits and a toothy grin.
