How to fold an origami t-shirt
The sides fold to the middle, two bottom corners swing out as sleeves, and folding the bottom up flips them into place. Two little corners fold down as the collar.
You need: 1 square sheet, any size. Medium, 6 steps, about 6 minutes.
Steps
- Crease the centre. Start white side up. Fold in half from side to side, crease well, and unfold.
- Sides to the centre. Fold the left and right edges in to meet at the centre crease.
- Fold out the sleeves. At the bottom, fold each flap's inner corner out, creasing from the bottom outer corner up to the centre a little over a third of the way up. The tips are sleeves.
- Bottom up. Fold the bottom up until its edge sits a finger's width below the top edge. The sleeves flip up to the shoulders and turn coloured.
- Fold the collar. At the top, fold the two inner corners of the flaps out and down a little, making a small white collar.
- Slope the shoulders. Fold the two top outer corners behind, from the top of each sleeve, so the shoulders slant down.
Ready to wear!
Fold a few in different colours and draw a number on each one, like a team shirt.
