How to fold an origami wagon

Fold a red half sheet into the wagon's tray with a white rim, two black squares into round wheels and a black strip into the handle, then glue them on.

You need: Half a 15 cm square, red on one side, two 5 cm black squares, a 1 × 12 cm black strip and a glue stick. Medium, 16 steps, about 12 minutes.

Steps

  1. Body: fold in half. Lay the half sheet white side up, long side across. Fold the bottom edge up to the top edge.
  2. Body: white rim. Fold just the front layer's top edge down a thin strip. A white band shows at the top: the rim of the wagon.
  3. Body: slope the ends. Fold the two bottom corners behind on short slants, so the box is a tray, a little narrower at the bottom.
  4. Wheel 1: new sheet. Set the body aside. Take a black square, white side up.
  5. Wheel 1: corners in. Fold all four corners in to meet in the middle.
  6. Wheel 1: hub. Fold each point back out a little, so a white square shows in the middle: the hub.
  7. Wheel 1: round it. Fold the four points of the square behind, so the wheel looks round.
  8. Wheel 2: new sheet. Set the first wheel aside and take the other black square, white side up.
  9. Wheel 2: corners in. Fold all four corners in to the middle.
  10. Wheel 2: hub. Fold each point back out a little for the hub.
  11. Wheel 2: round it. Fold the four points behind to round it off.
  12. Handle: new sheet. Set the wheel aside. Take the black strip, standing tall.
  13. Handle: fold in half. Fold the strip in half the long way, folding the right half behind, so it is thin and black on both sides.
  14. Handle: the grip. Fold the top end over to the right on a 45° slant, near the top, so it sticks out sideways as the grip.
  15. Handle: tilt it. Turn the handle so its top leans over to the right.
  16. Put it together. Glue the bottom of the handle behind the front of the wagon, then glue a wheel over each bottom corner, half below the box.

Pull it along!
