How to fold an origami wristwatch
Fold a long brown strip narrow and taper its ends for the strap. A gold square folded with its corners to the middle, turned over and its points folded in, makes the face with a gold rim.
You need: 1 brown rectangle (4.5 × 15 cm), 1 gold square (6 cm), glue and a black pen. Medium, 7 steps, about 10 minutes.
Steps
- Strap: narrow it. Brown side up, long sides upright. Fold the long edges behind, about 1 cm each, so the strap is narrow and sturdy.
- Strap: taper the ends. Fold all four corners of the strap behind on a slant, so both ends come to a rounded point.
- Face: new sheet. Set the strap aside. Take the gold square, white side up.
- Face: corners in. Fold all four corners to the middle, so the gold side shows all over.
- Face: tips back out. Fold each tip back out to the middle of its own outer edge. A white square face opens up in a gold frame.
- Face: round it. Fold the four outer points behind, about 1 cm, so the watch face is round.
- Glue on the face. Glue the face onto the middle of the strap.
What time is it?
Draw the hands and a dot in the middle of the face, and a row of little holes on the strap.
