How to fold an origami alarm clock
Fold two gold squares into dome bells, a red square into a round body and a white square into the face, then glue the bells on top at a tilt.
You need: Two 6 cm gold squares, a 15 cm red square, an 11 cm white square and a glue stick. Medium, 10 steps, about 12 minutes.
Steps
- Bell: in half. Take a small gold square, gold side up. Fold the top half behind, down to the bottom edge.
- Bell: dome. Fold the two top corners behind, about 1.5 cm, to make a round dome.
- Second bell. Set the bell aside. Take the other gold square, gold side up.
- Bell: in half. Fold the top half behind, down to the bottom edge, just like the first bell.
- Bell: dome. Fold the two top corners behind to make the second dome.
- Body: red square. Set the bells aside. Take the red square, red side up.
- Body: corners behind. Fold all four corners behind, about 4.5 cm each, so the square gets eight even sides.
- Face: white square. Set the body aside. Take the white square, white side up.
- Face: corners behind. Fold all four corners behind, about 3 cm each, the same way as the body.
- Put it together. Glue the face on the body so a red rim shows. Glue the bells behind the top, leaning out to the left and right.
Brrring!
Draw twelve ticks, the hands at ten past ten, a hammer between the bells and two little legs.
