How to fold an origami table lamp
Fold a yellow square into a lampshade with a white trim, make a round blue base from a small square, and glue the shade on top.
You need: A 15 cm yellow square, an 8 cm blue square and a glue stick. Medium, 7 steps, about 8 minutes.
Steps
- Shade: white trim. Yellow side up. Fold the bottom edge up a thin strip, about 1 cm. The white strip is the trim.
- Shade: top behind. Fold the top part behind along a line a little above the middle.
- Shade: slant the sides. Fold the left and right sides behind on a slant, from near the top corners down to the bottom corners. The top is narrow.
- Base: blue square. Set the shade aside. Take the small blue square, blue side up.
- Base: sides behind. Fold the left and right edges behind, about 1 cm each, so the base is tall.
- Base: round it. Fold all four corners behind a little to make the base round, like a jar.
- Put on the shade. Glue the shade on the base, covering its top part.
Lights on!
Draw a pull cord hanging from the shade and a painted band round the base.
