How to fold an origami armchair
Fold a tall chair back and a wide seat with rounded arms from two squares of the same colour, then glue a soft yellow cushion between the arms.
You need: Two 15 cm teal squares, a 7.5 cm yellow square and a glue stick. Medium, 9 steps, about 10 minutes.
Steps
- Back: sides behind. Coloured side up. Fold the left and right edges behind, about 3 cm each. This is the tall chair back.
- Back: round the top. Fold the two top corners behind, about 2 cm, to round the back.
- Seat: second square. Set the back aside. Take the second square, coloured side up.
- Seat: in half. Fold the top half behind, down to the bottom edge.
- Seat: round the arms. Fold the top corners behind about 2 cm for round arm tops, and the bottom corners behind a tiny bit.
- Cushion: yellow square. Set the seat aside. Take the small yellow square, yellow side up.
- Cushion: in half. Fold the top half behind, down to the bottom edge.
- Cushion: soften it. Fold all four corners behind a tiny bit so the cushion looks soft.
- Put it together. Glue the back behind the seat, sticking up. Glue the cushion on the seat, between the arms.
Take a seat!
Draw buttons on the back, a line down the inside of each arm and two little legs underneath.
