How to fold an origami bed
Fold a blue strip into a quilt with a white sheet showing, then add a brown headboard and footboard and a white pillow.
You need: A 5 x 15 cm blue strip, brown 6 x 10.5 and 5 x 7 cm pieces, a 6 cm white square and glue. Medium, 11 steps, about 12 minutes.
Steps
- Quilt: sheet edge. Blue side up, lying across. Fold the bottom edge up a thin strip, about 1 cm. The white strip is the sheet.
- Quilt: turn it down. Fold the left end over to the right, about 2 cm, so the white back shows like a turned-down quilt.
- Headboard: brown rectangle. Set the quilt aside. Take the bigger brown rectangle, brown side up, standing tall.
- Headboard: sides behind. Fold the left and right edges behind to the middle, so it is tall and narrow.
- Headboard: round the top. Fold the two top corners behind a little.
- Footboard: small rectangle. Set the headboard aside. Take the small brown rectangle, brown side up, standing tall.
- Footboard: sides behind. Fold the left and right edges behind to the middle, the same way.
- Pillow: white square. Set the footboard aside. Take the white square, white side up.
- Pillow: in half. Fold the top half behind, down to the bottom edge.
- Pillow: fluff it. Fold all four corners behind a little so the pillow is puffy.
- Make the bed. Glue the headboard and footboard behind the ends of the quilt, legs below. Tuck the pillow behind the quilt by the headboard.
Sweet dreams!
Draw a few quilt seams on the blanket. Make a teddy to tuck in next to the pillow.
