How to fold an origami bluebell
Fold three little blue squares into bells, fold a green strip into a thin stem and bend its top over, then hang the bells under the arch.
You need: Three 6 cm blue squares, a green 4 × 24 cm strip, glue and a black pen. Medium, 11 steps, about 12 minutes.
Steps
- Bell: fold it. Blue side up, turn a square like a diamond. Fold the top edges behind to the middle line, and the bottom point behind.
- Second bell. Set it aside. Take the next blue square, blue side up, like a diamond.
- Fold it the same. Fold it just like the first bell.
- Third bell. Set it aside. Take the next blue square, blue side up, like a diamond.
- Fold it the same. Fold it just like the first bell.
- Stem: new sheet. Set it aside. Take the green strip, white side up, long edges at the sides.
- Stem: edges to the middle. Fold both long edges in to meet in the middle.
- Stem: and again. Fold the new long edges in to the middle again. A thin green stem.
- Stem: bend the top. Fold the top part over to the right at a slant, so it leans out to the side.
- Stem: and down. Fold the end of the bent part down at a slant, so the stem arches over and hangs down.
- Hang the bells. Glue the three bells behind the arch, hanging down one after another, with their pointed tops hidden behind the stem.
Ding-a-ling!
Draw little waves along the bottom of each bell for its curly lips.
