How to fold an origami broccoli
Three green squares fold into round florets for the bumpy crown, and a pale green square folds into the thick stalk underneath. Draw little bumps on the top.
You need: 3 small dark green squares (one a bit bigger), 1 pale green square, and a glue stick. Medium, 9 steps, about 10 minutes.
Steps
- Left floret: round it. Start with a small green square, green side up. Fold all four corners behind to make it round.
- Right floret: new sheet. Set it aside. Take another small green square, green side up.
- Right floret: round it. Fold all four corners behind, just like the first one.
- Top floret: new sheet. Set it aside. Take the bigger green square, green side up.
- Top floret: round it. Fold all four corners behind again.
- Stalk: new sheet. Set it aside. Take the pale green square, coloured side up.
- Stalk: slant the sides. Fold the left and right sides behind on a slant, so the stalk is narrow at the top and wider at the bottom.
- Stalk: round the bottom. Fold the two bottom corners behind a little.
- Build the crown. Glue the two side florets over the top of the stalk, then the big floret over them in the middle, to make a bumpy cloud of green.
Eat your greens!
Draw little bumpy curves all over the florets and two lines up the stalk.
