How to fold an origami cherry pair

Fold the corners of two red squares behind into round cherries, fold a green strip thin and bend it into an upside-down V, then hang a cherry on each end.

You need: 2 red squares (6 cm), 1 green strip (20 × 3 cm), glue and a white pen. Medium, 9 steps, about 10 minutes.

Steps

  1. First cherry. Red side up, fold all four corners of a red square behind, about 2 cm, so it is round.
  2. Second cherry: new sheet. Set it aside and take the second red square, red side up.
  3. Second cherry. Fold its four corners behind the same way.
  4. Stem: new strip. Set it aside too. Take the green strip, white side up, long side across.
  5. Stem: edges to the middle. Fold the top and bottom edges to the middle line, so the strip is green and half as wide.
  6. Stem: fold in half. Fold it in half the long way, top edge behind, so the stem is thin and strong.
  7. Stem: bend. Fold the left half down and over on a slant through the middle, so the stem makes a narrow V.
  8. Stem: hang it. Turn the stem so the bend is at the top and both ends hang down.
  9. Hang the cherries. Glue a cherry onto each end of the stem.

Sweet!

Draw a little white shine on each cherry.
