How to fold an origami peachy peach
Pleat a peach-coloured square behind so a folded edge runs down the middle as the cleft, round all the corners, then add a slim folded leaf on top.
You need: 1 peach or orange square (15 cm), 1 green square (6 cm) and glue. Medium, 9 steps, about 8 minutes.
Steps
- Cleft: fold behind. Peach side up. Fold the right part behind on an up-and-down line just right of the middle.
- Cleft: fold back out. Behind, fold it back out on a line 1 cm further left. A folded edge now runs down the front: the cleft.
- Round it. Fold all four corners behind on big slants.
- Round it more. Fold each of the eight new corners behind a little, so the peach is nice and round.
- Leaf: new sheet. Set the peach aside. Take the small green square, green side up, turned like a diamond.
- Leaf: vein. Fold it in half from left to right and open it again, for a vein down the middle.
- Leaf: make it slim. Fold the left and right corners behind, about 3 cm each, so the leaf is long and pointed.
- Leaf: tilt it. Turn the leaf so it leans to the right.
- Add the leaf. Glue the leaf onto the top of the peach, just right of the cleft.
Juicy!
Draw a soft curve beside the cleft so the peach looks plump.
